Today's regular readers are posting a this or that question. Your part is helping your team answer comments in a way that keeps the conversation going.
Team message
Practice the reply
Hi team! Pick one comment you got this week and write a reply that asks a real question back. Paste the comment and your reply here, and let's see which ones would keep a conversation going.
Practicing on real comments makes the habit easier to keep after the training ends.
Make it yours
Use this as a starting point and swap in your own details.
- Which comment from your own week could you use as the example?
- How does your team like to practice together?
One reader’s version: Hi friends! Homework for today: find one comment someone left you this week and reply with a question back. Share it here. I'll go first with mine from my Sunday post.
Coaching move
Model it before you ask for it
Before your team shares their replies, post your own example first, including one you'd rewrite.
When a leader shows an imperfect try, everyone else feels safer sharing theirs.
Thank each person who shares, even when their reply needs work.
Make it yours
Use this as a starting point and swap in your own details.
- Which of your own replies would you rewrite today?
- How do you thank people in your group?
One reader’s version: I shared a reply I wrote last month that just said "Thanks!" and then my rewrite: "Thank you! Did you end up trying the recipe?" Five people shared theirs after that.

I read every comment
A comment on my page is someone choosing to talk to me, so I try to reply like it's a real conversation.
Instead of "Thanks!" I'll ask a question back, or tell them what their comment made me think of.
Some of my favorite friendships started in a comment section.
Have you ever made a friend through a comment?
Reply to every comment this one gets. It proves the point.
Make it yours
Use this as a starting point and swap in your own details.
- How do you usually reply to comments?
- Do you have a friend you met online?
One reader’s version: I met one of my closest friends because she commented on a photo of my garden. Now we swap tomatoes every August. Ever made a friend that way?
Tomorrow: a thank you note to send your team before the weekend.
